Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 21, 2026
Overview
Mind Metric IQ provides an online IQ-style reasoning challenge, score estimate, comparison insights, and digital report package. The report package may be unlocked through a one-time payment or, where offered, through a free email and SMS opt-in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The service is for educational and entertainment purposes only. It is not a medical, psychological, academic, employment, or professional evaluation.
Information We Collect
- Quiz and report data. We collect your selected answers, skipped questions, per-question response times, completion time, question difficulty, category performance, score estimate, percentile estimate, result ID, and report unlock status.
- Profile inputs. If shown in the quiz, we may collect choices such as age range, education level, gender selection, learning preferences, and similar quiz-flow responses used to personalize the report and benchmark comparisons.
- Email, phone, and support details. We collect your email address and, where requested, mobile number only when you provide them, such as when requesting the report package, choosing a free opt-in unlock, contacting support, requesting a refund, or making a privacy request.
- Marketing consent records. If you choose a free email or SMS opt-in unlock, we record the channel you selected, consent text version, date and time, result ID, email domain or phone key, IP hash, browser or device details, and related proof needed to manage consent, verification, unsubscribe, and SMS STOP requests.
- Payment records. Payments are processed by PayPal or another payment provider. We may receive transaction IDs, payment status, amount, currency, payer contact details, and fraud or dispute signals. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Device, usage, and analytics data. We may collect IP address, device type, browser, operating system, referring page, approximate location, pages viewed, quiz start and completion events, answer events, checkout events, payment events, error logs, and performance data.
- Cookies and local storage. We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the quiz working, remember progress, measure performance, detect abuse, and understand marketing attribution.
How We Use Information
- Operate the quiz, save progress, calculate your score estimate, and generate your report.
- Compare your results to aggregated benchmark data from other users.
- Deliver the report package and respond to support, refund, payment, and privacy requests.
- Send promotional emails, SMS/MMS messages, cognitive tips, product updates, and partner offers when you explicitly opt in, and manage unsubscribe, STOP, or suppression requests.
- Process payments, confirm purchases, prevent fraud, investigate chargebacks, and keep required financial records.
- Improve questions, scoring, percentile models, site design, conversion flow, analytics, and product quality.
- Measure advertising performance and understand which campaigns bring users to the site.
- Protect the service, enforce our Terms, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Scoring and Benchmarking
Your score estimate is calculated from factors such as answer correctness, question difficulty, response time, completion behavior, and aggregate comparison data. Early benchmarks may rely partly on simulated or seed benchmark data until enough real user results are collected. As real results grow, benchmark comparisons can be recalibrated.
We may use quiz data in aggregated or de-identified form to improve the scoring model, create percentile comparisons, and understand how users perform across categories. Aggregated data does not identify you directly.
Legal Bases Where Required
Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you requested, to pursue legitimate business interests such as security and product improvement, to comply with legal obligations, and with consent where required for certain cookies, analytics, or marketing activities.
Free Unlock and Marketing Opt-In
If a free report unlock is offered, you may choose one available verification channel: a valid email address with email consent or a valid mobile number with SMS consent. We send a verification code to the channel you select. By completing that option, you agree that we may send your results package and promotional material through the selected channel, including cognitive tips, product updates, and partner offers. Message and data rates may apply to SMS. You can unsubscribe from emails using the unsubscribe link and opt out of SMS by replying STOP where SMS delivery is enabled.
If you unsubscribe or opt out, we suppress future promotional messages to that email address or phone number unless you later give fresh consent, contact support, or we need to send a lawful service-related notice.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run the service, process payments, deliver reports, measure performance, protect the business, or comply with law. This may include:
- Hosting, infrastructure, security, and domain providers.
- Payment processors such as PayPal.
- Email and SMS delivery providers used to send the report package, verification messages, or marketing messages where enabled.
- Analytics, advertising, and attribution providers if enabled.
- Professional advisers, legal authorities, or dispute-resolution providers when needed.
- A successor entity if the service is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. If advertising pixels or similar tools are enabled, some privacy laws may treat that as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can contact us to ask about available opt-out options.
Payments
Payment information is handled by the payment processor under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive enough payment information to confirm the purchase, unlock the report, handle support, resolve disputes, and maintain required records.
Analytics and Advertising
We may use analytics and advertising tools to understand traffic sources, quiz drop-off points, checkout behavior, purchase conversion, technical errors, and campaign performance. These tools may use cookies, pixels, or similar identifiers. Browser settings, device settings, and privacy tools may allow you to limit tracking.
We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, personalize, limit, and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites, subject to your consent where required. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's partner-sites notice and manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.
We use Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API for advertising attribution and campaign measurement. Meta may receive event information such as page views, quiz-start events, checkout events, purchase events, browser details, referring URLs, hashed email identifiers when available, and related identifiers according to Meta's own privacy terms.
Retention
We keep quiz, report, support, and payment-related records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain benchmarks, prevent fraud, handle support and disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product. We may keep aggregated or de-identified benchmark data for longer because it no longer directly identifies an individual.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or opt-out of certain targeted advertising uses. You can make a request by emailing info@mind-metric-iq.com.
Report and package emails include an unsubscribe link. If SMS delivery is enabled, SMS messages include opt-out instructions such as replying STOP. If you unsubscribe or opt out, we suppress future Mind Metric IQ promotional messages to that address or phone number unless you contact support or another lawful basis requires a service-related notice.
We may need to verify your request before acting on it. Some information may be retained where required for payment records, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or legitimate business needs.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for the service.
International Use
The service may be operated, hosted, and supported from different countries. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed in countries that may have different privacy laws than your country.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after an update means the updated policy applies.
